Ray Daniel
As a young midfield player coming through the ranks at Luton Town. Ray showed tremendous promise. But at the time Luton were blessed with several very good midfield players and Ray's chances were limited. So he moved on. He played firstly for Hull City & later Portsmouth where he played with great distinction making over 100 appearances for the south coast club. He later had spells at Cardiff City, Notts County and Walsall.
Kerry Dixon
Rejected as a schoolboy by Tottenham Hotspur and Luton Town, Kerry went to Dunstable Town. His goal scoring exploits for The Blues earnt him the opportunity to sign as a pro with Reading in 1980. He continued to find the net regularly at Reading. It was not too long before some of the bigger clubs were taking note! So it was that Kerry moved to Chelsea in 1983. He became a real legend at Stamford Bridge scoring over 150 goals in 331 games. During his time at Chelsea, Kerry won 8 England Caps. Towards the end of his career Kerry did eventually play for his home town Luton in a 2 season spell. He also played for Millwall, Southampton, Watford and Doncaster Rovers.
