eThe League is considering moving the kick off time for matches in the Under 14 Section to mornings ( 10.30 am ) .
This is in response to a request from a few Clubs to consider the change and to hopefully assist in coverage of referee appointments. In the past this has not been possible due to the prominence of adult Sunday morning football, but with the huge decline in this format of the game the demand on pitches and referees is no longer seen as a problem. Some Clubs have already responded to a questionnaire. We will be writing again to those who have not yet responded so we can formulate a decision. Thank you CYL Committee Remember this coming Sunday 12TH November that ALL games in the AM section are 11.05am Kick Off. We also ask all teams, both AM and PM to take a minutes silence to mark Remembrance Sunday, if starting Early please make sure you are finished by 10.50am.
All managers have today received an Email update from Full Time regarding a few issues that have risen over the last few weeks so we ask that you read the email and action any points they may be effecting your team. Thank you New Sponsorship deal with Pitchero for 2017 - 2018We are pleased to announce that 'Pitchero' have agreed a deal to sponsor the league for 2017/18 along side our main sponsors.

Following consultations with Chiltern Youth League Teams the committee have looked at the feedback and can announce that for next season 2018/19 the Under 14 section will move to the morning section (KO 10.30am) Part of the decision was based on referee coverage and we hope this will alleviate some of the issues we have seen over the past few seasons in the PM section with coverage of games.. We will of course monitor throughout the 2018/19 season the move and look at the pros one cons as the season progresses. Quick reminder that League Cup games in the Knockout rounds are decided on the day.
If the scores are level at Full Time then you go straight to a penalty shoot out. Lots of 1st round U12 -U18 this Sunday so good luck. CYL Committee Match Day 10 and the Chiltern Youth League football family paid their respect for Remembrance Sunday with all teams observing a minutes silence before their game - Thank you.
Another reminder that any team wanting a free week for December 17th before the xmas break, need to get the request in by Friday. You will see from the fixture list that the League Cups U12-U18 start on the 3rd December and their are also a number of County Cup fixture where the top divisions join the competition. We do need to report that the committee are noticing a number of low Sporting marks this season and we are a little concerned as to why. Most reports are for issues off the pitch. Please can we ask that we all remember that this is children's football and that if you want to scream and shout at them then we will look at taking matters a lot further. I am sure that you would be upset as a parent if people start shouting at your own children away from the football pitch so why is it any different on a Sunday when they are just playing the game the love. PLEASE THINK!!!!!!! This also applies to our younger referee's who are also children so please treat them as one. CYL |
