Polite reminder to ALL managers and Club Secretaries.
The last day to register any new players or to transfer players to your team with the league is Wednesday 1st March 2017. Please can you ensure all paper work for Player Registrations or Transfers are with the correct person by Tuesday 28th February 2017. Registrations: Pamela Johnson (A.M Registration Secretary - U11 to U13) Kerry Hall (P.M Registration Secretary - U14 to U18) Player Transfers: Jonathan Brown (League Secretary) Thank you CYL Committee As you are aware the League will be adopting The Football Association's new Player Registration System for season 2017 - 2018.
All Clubs can start preparing for this by 'loading' their players onto the Whole Game Software NOW to spread the work necessary and avoid a rush during the summer. By doing this you will then be able to transfer your players to the new software when it is released in June 2017. If you would like to start this preparatory work now and get ahead of the game then please start the process of adding your players to the WGS system now. If you would like some advice on how to get started then please contact Pamela Johnson (mobile 07867 653201 email pamelacyl@hotmail.com) and she will be pleased to give you some guidance. Hopefully there will be a lot of uptake on this and if so we will set up a few Training Sessions around the County to get you started. Thank you CYL You would think that with it being half term that the committee would be relaxing and taking a break. No chance!
Our main focus at the moment is the planning of our two Cup Final days on Sunday 7th and Sunday 14th May 2017. We again will be using the facilities at Shefford Town FC on Sunday 7th May 2017 for the U18 and U17 Cup Finals. The hospitality shown to us last season meant this was an easy choice again. The following week Sunday 14th May 2017, we move to Barton for our now annual 'Super Sunday'. 12 finals all played in one day with the use of the playing fields and also 3 finals on the main Barton Rovers FC pitch. Last season over 2000 people attended and enjoyed a fantastic day of youth football played to the highest standards associated to the teams playing in the CYL. Even if your team is not playing why not come along and watch the 'future stars' of the game. We would also like to ask if you, or anybody you may know would be interested in sponsoring a cup final day or even an individual final then please contact any member of the committee. Thank you CYL Unfortunately a number of Clubs failed to attend last night's ( 6th February ) Full Council meeting.
Those Clubs missed a very informative presentation from The Football Association on the National Player Registration system that the Chiltern Youth League will be adopting for season 2017/2018. The Clubs who missed the session are now on catch up on the training. Whilst it is not difficult it will require some work particularly in the first season and it very important therefore that all Clubs ensure they are up to speed on how to register their players for next season. Thank you CYL Committee At last night's Full Council Meeting (Monday 6th February ), it became apparent that some Clubs are failing to comply with League Rules. The Clubs present expressed serious concerns at the failure of these Clubs to operate in accordance with the Rules and the dire consequences that could possibly arise from these failures.
