AFC Sundon U18s secured the League Cup on Sunday 7th May 2017 at Shefford Sports Club. A Cup Final, beating a resilient and strong fought Arlesey Town Youth. Congratulations also must go to Arlesey Town Youth, who although they lost in the finals, just getting too the cup finals is a fine achievement, and they fought hard against them to give a fantastic day of youth football. We wish both teams the very best for the future as they now leave youth football. It has been a great season and also to watch the lads progress throughout the years with The Chiltern Youth Football League. For full details of both our finalist please click here League Cup Final photos - click here As you may already be aware, FA policy for affiliation for next season (2017/18) has changed to support The FA's on-going commitment to ensuring safeguarding measures are embedded across grassroots football.
In order to affiliate clubs with youth teams, the following committee members must ALL complete the FA’s new Safeguarding For Committee Members online workshop. It takes around half an hour and is free to complete. • Club Chair • Club Secretary • Club Welfare Officer • Treasurer (not currently a requirement but will need to complete the course for season 2018/19 affiliation). A club’s affiliation will only be approved once all three people in the above roles have completed the online workshop. Instructions for completing the Workshop and FAQs to help you are below. It is a brand new course which is accessible to all and can be completed by following this link: https://learning.thefa.com/course/view.php?id=308 How to access the Safeguarding for Committee Members course - Guidance Read more at Bedfordshire FA here Please contact Sarah DaCosta at Bedfordshire FA if you have any questions or concerns.
