Morecombe and Wise we thank you!!!!!
After my appeal earlier in the week to 'Bring Me Sunshine' I can only say thank you Eric and Ernie. A hot sunny day at Barton for 'Super Sunday' with temperatures going up and up all day long. A wonderful day for everyone involved. Well done to everyone who came along to watch some excellent football in every game played. To the winners well done, and to the Runners Up unlucky today. So that brings another season to a close, a huge thank you to everyone who were involved with the league either on the pitch or behind the scenes. See you all again in 2019-2020. CYL COMMITTEE

This week we have our end of season cup finals day at Barton.
7 Finals across the day from U11 to U15. We will be using the playing field for 5 games and also the main Barton FC pitch for 2 games. The action begins at 10am. Entry is £2 per adult. U16 free. Refreshments will be available. So why not come along to watch some high quality youth football and the future stars of the game. Finally as Morcombe and Wise used to say... BRING ME SUNSHINE All club Secretary's should have received the League application form for next season 2019-20.
Can we ask that these are completed and returned to the league Secretary by the 31st May. We will then endeavour to form a constitution ready for the AGM on the 17th June 2019. Great Evening at Flitwick Football Centre
Wednesday evening (1st May) Flitwick hosted two Plate finals which were organised at short notice so thanks goes to all the staff and committee at Flitwick. Flitwick Eagles Reds U12's and Real Luton U13's were successful both winning 2-0 on the night. Once again we have too say well done to Real Luton U12's and AFC Dunstable U13's who played well but come up just short. Cup Final Update
Last Sunday 28th April, Bedford Town FC hosted our second League Cup Finals day. Crawley Green Falcons U18's Ampthill Town U17's and Flitwick Eagles Whites U14's took home the winners medals whilst Sharnbrook U18's, Barton U17's and Luton Allstars U14's were worthy Runners Up. Thanks to everyone who attended. County Cup winners Ampthill Town Yellow's took the top prize by beating Stotfold (EJA League) 3-0 in Sunday's final.
Once again Chiltern Youth League teams showing the way. One Cup Final day done.
Now on to the next one - Let's hope it's a bit warmer!!!! Well done to both Flitwick Eagles Golds U16's and Luton Allstars Rovers U16's who took the winners medals in the two finals. But without Leighton Utd Greens and Luton Boro as great opposition then we would not have had two excellent finals of youth football, so congratulations too all four teams. So the focus now moves to the 28th April and the U17's and U18's finals. Plus due to circumstances we have added the U14's League Cup Final to the day. Bedford Town F.C will be hosting the event - Thank you. So if you are doing nothing on the 28th April then why not come along. U14 League Cup Final - 10.30am Luton Allstars Spartans v Flitwick Eagles Whites U17 League Cup Final - 12.45pm Barton Rovers v Ampthill Town U18 League Cup - 4.15pm Sharnbrook v Crawley Green Falcons See you there. |
