All,
Just wanted to touch base with regards to some important actions and dates that are coming up. League Constitution I hope to be able to distribute this to you - the final version - in the next 48 hours. Thank you to those clubs who passed on their observations. The finalising had been delayed by some additional teams joining us and some withdrawals as well Registration of Players (on Whole Game System) We have seen some players already registered on the Whole Game system - thank you to those who have started the process. A reminder that a minimum of 12 players (for 11v11 teams) and 10 players (for 9v9 teams) need to be registered by 15th August. Please also note that for players to be eligible to play on the first Sunday of the season, they must be registered by 31st August. If you require any assistance with the registration of players, please contact Pamela Johnson (Player Registrations Secretary - pamelacyl@hotmail.com) Outstanding League Subscriptions I have written to all clubs who have not as yet made the necessary payment. As a reminder, any payment not made by 31st July (which is generous as payment should have been made at time of application) will be liable to a levy of £10 per TEAM being added. Please avoid this by taking action asap. CYFL Handbook I am in the process of updating the CYFL handbook for the coming season. In the next week, I will be circulating a link to the Club Directory section of the handbook and I would ask that you take 10 minutes to update your details (and those of your teams) to ensure that the handbook is as up to date as possible. Submissions will need to be completed by 4th August so watch this space for more details. Your assistance in the matter is appreciated. Pre-season Friendlies Please ensure that you contact your relevant County FA prior to any friendly taking place, to ensure that your game is sanctioned. This will ensure that you are insured in the event of any injuries etc. Pre-season Meeting Please remember that our pre-season Full Council meeting is being held on Monday 3rd September at the Beds FA. This meeting is mandatory for all clubs. Further details will be circulated in due course. Temporary Dismissals As advised at the AGM, the CYFL will be participating in the temporary dismissals scheme for the coming season. I have just circulated details of when the training sessions for managers (also referees) are to be held and we would encourage all managers to attend one of these sessions. We have managed to combine one of the sessions with our Full Council Meeting on Monday 3rd September to save people a little time over the summer. Season Start Date The first playing day of the season will be Sunday 9th September Free Week Requests Please note that if you require a free Sunday on 9th September you will need to request it in writing to Tony Gee by 9th August. Any subsequent requests must give a months notice. Please note that the fixtures during the early part of the season are particularly testing for Tony, due to the County Cup fixtures, which take precedence over CYFL fixtures, hence changes may need to be made. Tony Gee - Email tonygee@hotmail.co.uk For those clubs who are new to the league or who have new secretaries, please let me know if you have any questions about the above or any other aspects of the CYFL.
