As you may already be aware, FA policy for affiliation for next season (2017/18) has changed to support The FA's on-going commitment to ensuring safeguarding measures are embedded across grassroots football.
In order to affiliate clubs with youth teams, the following committee members must ALL complete the FA’s new Safeguarding For Committee Members online workshop. It takes around half an hour and is free to complete.
• Club Chair
• Club Secretary
• Club Welfare Officer
• Treasurer (not currently a requirement but will need to complete the course for season 2018/19 affiliation).
A club’s affiliation will only be approved once all three people in the above roles have completed the online workshop.
